In 2008 I decided to join a modelling site online.
After a few days of uploading a few shite pictures of myself, a female model contacted me and offered her guidance and more professional shoots.
She arranged my first shoot and I uploaded the pictures onto my profile for other models and photographers to see.Eventually i started to get alot of interest off photographers who offered me whats known as “TFPCD”..which stand for “time for print on cd”..so you work for free , they take pics of you..you get to take the pics away for free, they get to use your pics as part of their folio. I worked with alot of photographers and had many different styles. I did a range of shoots ..anything from me doing CK style pants shots to girl boy shoots in a warehouse.
I then created my own website to feature the images.
I believe its still online: http://www.joeh.moonfruit.com
After a while i got interest off companies/togs wanting to pay me to shoot for them. Ranging from Universities to catalogues. It was good however never had a goal of making a mint or even relying on this as my career – mainly did it for the experience.
Reason I stopped was due to the paid work was always in the week which I couldnt do due to working full time.
I dont think im an amazing model or anything like that but was a great part of my life. I met alot of interesting people and even managed to be on a music video for a funky house tune which was cool. Anyways check the pics out.
