Grillstock is an event that takes place every year in Bristol.

My boss originally told me about it as she knewI liked rock n roll and BBQ food, so suggested it to Becs.

We took the train  down to Bristol and finally found the festival perched alongside the Bristol Pier. I had my ” Nice Bangers” t shirt with picture of a fryup on it to go with the food occasion 🙂

We paid about a fiver for the tickets then we got in. Lots of stalls of people selling BBQ sauces, giving away free food etc. Our first objection…FIND THE BAR!… we found what seemed like the only bar in the place and it served beer from around the world.

I tried the Australian beer.. it was rather twangy!

We then found the stage where the acts were performing. Wasnt so much Rock N roll, more Folk/Light Rock.

There were deck chairs in front of the chairs. We sat on them thinking what a great idea.. then suddely woman with a bum bag came over tried to charge us and we soon moved.

We then had a scoot around and found some HUGE bean bags, got some chicken kebab thing and sat there whilst chilling with our beer and wine watching the bands.

Overall not a bad day out.. main thing thow is that its a small festival so ok for about 2-3 hours but not a full day. Thought there would have been more food there and more going on. grrrr never the less when we got bored we went to some other bars along the pier 🙂
