Budapest – Boat tip Day n Night

Cost: 2500 HUF per person (£7.18)

Running threw Budapest is the river Danube. Its huge and runs through the middle (as you can imagine).

Near the Gothic looking bridge there are boats that are lined up for tourist short cruises. Some going on for an hour, others going into the night for a couple of hours with dinner and music.

We opted to do a day cruise first the since it was only £7.18 each we opted to do the night cruise too. Both were the same. We got a hot dog on the day cruise which was rather nice and that was only 600 HUF each (£1.72) and they had chili ketchup which was awesome. The drinks on the boat were cheap too. We paid 600 HUF (£1.72) for a 0.5cl beer and 500 HUF (£1.43) for an iced coffee.

Now seated at the top the boat then took off. Now as we left the moaring spot I spotted the LARGEST cobweb ever…it was attached to the bottom of the rear of another boat…what kinda spider built this? does the army now about how big this spider must be? ahhhhhh

Spider aside, commentary then began on the tanoy and told us about the place. The buildings along the river were so pretty.

The night cruise was the same as the day (obviously) however we wanted to see what Budapest looked like lit up..and it did not disappoint. The Hungarian Parliament Building looked spectacular .

Equally so did the castle area and other buildings…

Only downfall of the night one was there was a group of foreign women who seemed not to care that you were sitting down and would almost try and jump over you just to get a picture. Was annoying, however saying that the boat on the night was different to the day one (we chose a different cruise company) and there was limited space to where you can see things up top as it wasn’t an open top like the day cruise. Feck knows why we just didn’t go on the day cruise one again lol .

Either way both boat trips were worth it. Priced so low and to see the sights you did, I would deffo do both trip[s again, however choosing the open top cruiser instead that we took in the day (displayed below)
