So since we came back from travelling in July, this was our first festival back in the UK this year. Its near Stroud and is basically lots of ale barrels along with cider and wine sections.
Me Dan n Bec started the morning with a good old breaky at the local cafe. Since lots of drinking was ahead, it was only right we line our stomachs. Dan n Bec had their custom made hoodys on which read “Keep Calm n let Savage Handle It”
Ten minutes later and these were the results.
We then headed back where the Bobster joined us n after some Champas n a few beers we left around 2:00pm to go to the festival
When you hand your ticket over you are given a wristband and your mug for the day. We then went off to purchase our tokens. Each token is worth 25p.
N so the festival started. Off we went in search for the many Ales! Now the great thing about this place is the testers. Since there are like 250 beers, you can have a tester of each 🙂
We found the others of the group that were meeting us there n claimed our spot on the field. An Ed Sheeran singer and German band came onto the stage. They were pretty cool. Me, Bob n Dan went for a wonder where we found Cockney Joe and his new huge Beard! He looked like a right Viking!
We then went for some dinner. Now the grub at this place is amazing. They have currys, burgers, sausages..oh and Sweetcorn. Bob had to have a sweetcorn cob thing…she asked him what sauce he wanted he said Lemon…he bit into it and hated it so asked her to soak it in another sauce – haha
Throughout the day naturally we got some crazy looking selfies!!
After seeing Rolph Harris and other celebs (well people who looked like them) we were hunting for Santa who is normally here every year, however not this one. Me n Bob got “charged” within no time and after Bob calling the guys who serve us “Jamal” or “Wesley” for the 50th time it was now night n we waited for the notoroious last band to come on stage,. Now last year we went this was an amazing band who did the likes of Blink 182 and Nirvana songs…this year did not dissapoint! They were brill… Snow Patrol, Bryan Adams n The Killers were some of the classics they played. The field that people once sat on in the day had now become a concert style crowd with everyone jumping around etc. It was great fun.
We then got our taxi from outside the Crown pub n off we trotted to home.
